A Prayer for My Unsaved Loved Ones

We all have people we love and care about who are not yet walking with the Lord. They haven’t made a personal confession of Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Maybe they are on the fence or so far away you wonder how they could ever change. But, the Bible says in 1 Timothy 2:4 that it is God’s desire that ALL should be saved. God hasn’t given up on them and neither should you. Jesus tells us in Mark 10:27 that all things are possible with God. Remember that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). In Matthew 16:19, Jesus tells us about the “keys to the kingdom of heaven”, that “whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”. The devil has our loved ones bound and blinded to the truth of the gospel. We have been given the authority and power to bind the devil and loose our loved ones. We can “knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and destroy false arguments” and “ destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God” (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Praise God!

Stand in the authority God has given you, as a born again believer. Pray this prayer over your loved ones who are not yet saved.

(Insert your loved one’s name in the blanks below)

I come before you Lord, in faith. I lift up _________ before you today. I know that it is your will for all to be saved. It is your will for _________ to be saved. I pray that your will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus, I bind the devil and his evil works operating in the life of ________, keeping _______ blind to the truth of the gospel. I loose revelation and understanding of God’s love and the light of the gospel into ________ mind. In the name of Jesus, I tear down the strongholds of human reasoning and false arguments in _________’s mind. I tear down the proud obstacles that are keeping ________ from knowing God. As Jesus directed in Matthew 9:38, I ask you Lord to send forth “laborers” into _________’s life. You know who _______ will listen to. I ask that you send forth the right person or people who are equipped to speak the truth of God’s Word about salvation, healing, and deliverance to reach __________’s heart. Thank you, Lord! I believe that as I intercede on _______’s behalf, the Holy Spirit is activated and is completing a good work in ________’s life. I praise and thank you now for _______’s salvation. Lord, I know that your Word will never return to you void – it shall prosper in the thing to which it was sent (Isaiah 55:11), and that you are alert and active watching over your word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). I will keep my words lined up with what I have just prayed. I will not waver or doubt no matter what I see ________ doing or hear ________ say, because I know that God is working in ________’s life! I call _________ saved in Jesus name! Praise God!”
